On our two most recent trips, elephants left a strong impression. Some we saw in the flesh, framed against East Africa's spectacular Amboseli plains and Mt Kilimanjaro. Others we saw set in stone, framed against Ahmedabad's equally spectacular Adalaj ni Vav.
